I got around $500 dollars from Christmas to go towards buying myself a good camera.. but there's also the band trip in April that I have to go on, which costs 1500$, and I've done payments, so its only 1,100$ left. And the 500$ would put a good dent in it..
I want a new camera, but I also want to go on the trip, and theres a possibility I won't have enough by April for the trip.

Should I keep the 500$ for the trip?
